Problems of Criminal Liability for Illegal Timber Trafficking in Connection with Changes in Forestry Legislation

The purpose of the article is to analyze the changes that have occurred in 2021 in forestry legislation as part of the implementation of state policy in the field of environmental safety in order to increase the efficiency and transparency of the forestry industry, and focus on the problems that may arise when detecting crimes in the field of forestry legislation. The article focuses on the main changes in the rules for the turnover of forest plantations. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that this problem has been little studied and requires further research, since some amendments to forestry legislation have not yet entered into legal force, which means that there is no judicial practice that takes into account the changes listed in the article.
