Abstract
This study assesses the Gender-wise Students' perception of the quality status of Indian Higher Learning Institutions. The primary data was collected from Southern States, namely, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, through questionnaire by adopting NAAC Quality Dimensions as the service quality dimensions are more or less similar to NAAC quality dimensions. The questionnaire was distributed to 22,500 Students selected by adopting “Disproportionate Stratified Random Sampling Technique”. The gathered information is found to be valid in respect of 17,670. The results indicate that that the Male Students are highly influenced by “Curricular Aspects” dimension and the Female Students are highly influenced by “Student Support and Progression” dimension. Hence, this study suggests that the management should motivate the male Students to attend the special coaching classes for competitive examinations and to organize the cultural activities during their leisure time. Also, the academicians must take necessary steps to educate the girl students to cope up with practical oriented extra classes during holidays and extended hours.
