Abstract

Climate change has been identified as one of the greatest challenge by all nations of the globe. It has implications for both human and natural systems that could lead to significant changes in resource are production and economic activity. Climate change occurred as a consequence of anthropogenic activities like combustion of fossil fuels, industrial processes, deforestation and GHGS release into atmosphere. Climate Change affects population by changing basic life conditions, food availability by causing habitat loss and fragmentation. In the present scenario, climate change is a threatening feature which has to be mitigated to the maximum extent. Climate change are generally characterized by increasing surface air temperature which is more pronounced during winter than in summer. Increases in surface temperature inter seasonal, inter annual and spatial variability in rainfall are observed. An effective strategy for advancing the understanding of adverse impacts of climate change will require strengthening the academic and research institutions to conduct innovative research on the response of human and natural systems to multiple stresses at various levels and scales. In the light of the above, present paper has the following objectives. It also aims at some suggestive measures to control evil impacts of climate change.
