Abstract
Climate change is a significant global problem faced by living and non living organism in the earth mother. It motivates the authors to examine how climate change has it effect on food system of the human society. Hence in present paper an attempt has been made by the authors to elucidate the conceptual clarification, risk factor and mitigation measures. Adaptations of food systems via interventions in availability, access and utilization are possible to cope with climate change at different scales although their feedbacks to the earth system have yet to be fully assessed.
Climate change may affect food systems in several ways ranging from direct effects on crop production (e.g. changes in rainfall leading to drought or flooding, or warmer or cooler temperatures leading to changes in the length of growing season), to changes in markets, food prices and supply chain infrastructure. The relative importance of climate change for food security differs between regions.
