Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of the energy efficiency of the behavior of the electronic speed controller (ESC) in the ascent, descent and stable flight for different types of semiconductors that can be used in the power stage, to analyze voltage and current variations in brushless motors and determine the best scenario for saving battery charge. One of the great disadvantages of operations with multirotor type Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is the limited flight time due to the discharge of the batteries that power the motors that allow the flight to take place. This change of speed is made over and over again in very short periods, so the speed controller (ESC) must be very efficient and precise for the UAV to execute the orders that are sent through the Radio Control. This implies changes in the power supply with immediate response from the speed controller (ESC) in the voltages and currents that are delivered to the motors Brushless.
