Subject Index as a Lingvistic Tool for Library and Information Technology

The question of the formation dictionary of the alphabetical index in the electronic catalog of the scientific library and the expediency of its use in the thematic search on the classification hierarchy are considered. The use of the controlled vocabulary of the subject headings of the ADR promotes optimization of search procedures. An electronic alphabetical index for the library classification, which allows to realize objective access to the resources of the library fund through the online interface of the electronic catalog.
