Abstract
Prevalence of varicose vein disease of the lower extremities, the chronic course of this disease and frequent complications dictate need of continuous studying and improvement of the applied diagnostics methods. Nowadays the conventional method of diagnostics is colour duplex ultrasonography. The aim of study was to examine the blood flowin in the perforating veins at the varicose vein disease at rest and at functional tests. It is shown that the backflow in the perforating veins is present always at the case of its ectasia, and some functional tests possess essential diagnostic value, increasing the accuracy of perforans reflux identification.
