Abstract

In the period 2005-2009, an increase in cases of occupational diseases with brucellosis was registered. The share of disability due to occupational diseases of brucellosis in the period 2007-2009 was 32.3 ± 3.9%, which is 4 times higher than in the 1980s. Disability was formed more often in persons who came into contact with the source of infection in foci of bovine brucellosis (62.0 ± 5.2%) and foci of mixed type (34.5 ± 6.7%). These included mainly veterinary and zootechnical personnel — 48.6 ± 6.0%, animal care workers - 21.1 ± 3.4%, animal breeders-12.0 ± 2.7% and milkmen - 7.7 ± 2.2.
