Abstract
This research aims to reveal the effect of socio-demographic characteristics of consumers on different egg type preferences. The study was conducted with data obtained from a face to face survey applied to 552 consumers in seven regions of Turkey during the period May-July 2018. Egg types were accepted as the dependent variable and socio-demographic characteristics were accepted as independent variables in the analyzes and the answers of the questionnaire were designed according to the Likert type scale. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and ordered probit regression methods with SPSS© 21 and STATA© 13 statistical software. According to the results of the analysis, positive and negative relations were determined between standard egg, free range chicken egg, functional egg and organic egg and some socio-demographic characteristics of the consumers (gender, number of family, education and income)
