Abstract
Medical Definition of posology - A branch of medical science concerned with dosage by posology (from the Greek, posos, how much) we mean the science or doctrine of dosage. Dose: Definition of dose - The measured quantity of a therapeutic agent to be taken at one time. German- Gabe, a giving Greek - dosis, a giving. That which is given or administered. Dose refers to the amount of medicinal substance that is administered. This includes both the medicine's potency (higher potencies giving less material and therefore being considered as small doses), number of globules given as well as repetition.
