Abstract
To determine immediate effect of EMG biofeedback relaxation along with conventional physiotherapy on spastic muscles, 20 stroke patients were taken and allocated into two groups; experimental group was given EMG biofeedback relaxation along with conventional physiotherapy and control group was given only conventional physiotherapy. Spasticity was measured before and after treatment on Modified Tardieu Scale. A statistically significant difference was found in the spasticity post treatment between the experimental group and control group and it was concluded that EMG biofeedback relaxation along with conventional physiotherapy has better immediate effects than only conventional physiotherapy in reducing muscle spasticity.
