Abstract
The polycrystalline samples of mixed ferrites Mg0.7 + x Zn0.3SmxFe2-2xO4 with x = 0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 and 0.5 were prepared by ceramic method. Single phase formation is confirmed by x-ray diffraction. It is seen that, for all samples the lattice constant increases with increase in Sn content. This is due to larger ionic radii of magnesium and Tin compared to that of Fe3+. In the Sn substituted Magnesium Zinc ferrite system magnetic moment value increases with increasing Sn. The of variation of ac-susceptibility with temperature, shows that the present studied samples represent MD states
