Historical Overview of Womens Participation in Brazilian Politics and the Difficulties of Surpassing Patriarchy

This research aims at analyzing women's participation in the Brazilian political scenario, especially under the historical bias, considering that suffrage, although currently universal, was not an inherent right of women. The great core of the issue lies in the disproportion of women acting in politics as representatives of the female public.
