Abstract
The article is dedicated to semantic changes of the meaning of lexemes for denotation of religious discourse participants in the process of historical development of the Turkish language. In particular, the article considers derived meaning of these religious lexemes, which sometimes in the consciousness of native speakers may not have associations with their original meaning. It is particularly related to terminology and derived words, which in defining and bilingual translated dictionaries are often distinguished into individual articles may contain notes about belonging to a particular field of science.
