Lowry Model was developed by Ira Lowry in 1964 and it was one of the first transportation- land use model to be developed in 1964 for the Pittsburgh region. The model takes three major components of a city, namely, population, employment and the means of transport between them. Parameters such as residential location, employment location, purpose of trip and mode of trip will be adopted as input for Lowry model.
