Abstract
Toxicity of cadmium has been demonstrated in several organs. Cadmium leads to injury of tissue by creating oxidative stress, epigenetic changes in DNA. Among various organs in the body, brain is a soft target of cadmium. Cadmium has a very detrimental effect on the nervous system. The review discusses the current knowledge on Role of Apoptosis in Cadmium Induced Dopaminergic Alterations in Rat Brain.
