Abstract
The breast milk is unique gift from the mother to her baby; provides infants with defensive factors against many illnesses. Even with this significant, nearly 52 % of infants are not receiving the EBF in Tamilnadu due to many other factors. Hence, the investigator decides to rule out the factors influence the Exclusive Breast Feeding (EBF) practices& associate with demographic variables of infant�s mothers. The descriptive study design was adopted. Through the convenient sampling technique, 108 mothers who are all had infants in the age of 6 to 12 months were enrolled. The data were collected through structured interview method with the 18 questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive& inferential statistics. Out of 108 mothers, 53 % had the inadequate knowledge, 30 % moderate and remaining 17 % only had the adequate knowledge. The chi square value depicts that, the demographic variables of age, residence, parity, mode of delivery had significant association with the factors influencing of EBF practices at P less than 0.01** and occupation, family type& support had significant association at P
