Abstract
Charcot neuropathic osteoarthropathy (CN), commonly referred to as the Charcot foot, is a condition affecting the bones, joints, and soft tissues of the foot and ankle, characterized by inflammation in the earliest phase. We report a case of Charcot Neuropathic Osteoarthropathy of the ankle joint with hypoalbuminemia presenting as complications from poorly controlled Diabetes Mellitus. Charcot neuropathic osteoarthropathy is a debilitating condition which may lead to postural instability, gait disorder and osteomyelitis. Early diagnosis and proper treatment is beneficial to reduce the risk of further complications.
