Abstract
The present study was designed to determine the growth, antibacterial and hematological effects of guava leaf (Psidium guajava) suspension in E. coli infected Japanese quail under the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology, HSTU, Dinajpur, Bangladesh, during September to October, 2017. A total of 40 quails of 10 days old were randomly assigned into four treatment groups named T0, T1, T2, T3 and each group contained 10 birds. GroupT0 and T1 were considered as negative and positive control, respectively. Group T2 and T3 were treated with guava leaf (Psidium guajava) suspension and Doxycycline respectively. At 5 days interval, live body weights were recorded, bacterial loads in feces were counted and blood parameters were determined.
