Abstract
Allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever, is one of the most common allergic diseases in Kenya. It accounts for most visits to healthcare providers by employee adults resulting to lost productivity attributed to the disease as reported by National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, (2002), National Institutes of Health, (2002). The study was conducted in Nairobi County which is a major contributor to Kenyas economy. It generates over 45 per cent of GDP, employs 25 per cent of Kenyans and 43 per cent of the countrys urban workers (UN-Habitat 2006).
