Abstract
Diabetes mellitus is a predominant public health concern, causing substantial morbidity, mortality, and long-term complications. Many of the conventional drugs used for the management of this disease are not only expensive but also have numerous side effects. Functional foods are highly compatible with the human body and it's functioning, cheap, and quite available. They serve significant roles in the management of diabetes. This study aimed at evaluating a new formulation of functional foods for reduction of the levels of plasma glucose in Balb/c mice, avoiding major adverse effects. Diabetes was induced in Balb/c mice by injection of streptozotocin at a dose of 160 mg/kg. The mice were orally treated with the researcher
