Abstract
The purpose of this research paper is to discuss the socio economic condition of the migrant's workers engaged in small scale industries sector, constructions, and briklin sectors. Primary data is collected from the selected district (Kangra)Himachal Pradesh. The research papers analysis the states of the origin of the migrants, the demographic profile of the migrants, and income details since migrations, their expenditure details and the basic problems of the migrant's workers. The results of this study are that most of the migrants are coming from Uttar Pradesh and few numbers of migrants are from other states like Jharkhand, Dehradun, Bihar and Rajasthan. Most of the migrants are in the age group of 25 to 35 with a share of 40.5 percent in the total migrant population. The study found that the major reasons for migration are a lack of job opportunities and low income at their own state. The study found that the economic conditions of the migrant labour improved after migration. There was also a substantial increase in the incomes of the migrants. Most of the migration is seasonal in nature as the labour migrates for 4-5 months. - migrants, briklin, socio-economic
