Abstract
One of the key reagents for Immuno-Radio Metric Assay (IRMA) system is the Tracer. The aim of the work was to devise a method for introduction of a radioactive atom (125I) into molecule of antibody. In this research, we used the Choloramine-T method for binding the iodine radio-isotope to the protein molecule and obtaining a purified labeled antibody as a tracer for PSA (Prostate Specific Antigen). It can be used in the PSA kit for measuring the prostate-specific antigen in blood for screening the prostate cancer. The mentioned research showed that the results for our devised tracer have good precision and accuracy.
