Abstract
Aim of the investigation was to evaluate the treatment of tannery effluent using marine cyanobacterium (Lyngbya sp. ) with coir pith. The physico -chemical parameters such as pH, OD, EC, BOD, COD, TDS, Cl2 and removal of heavy metals such as Mercury, Cadmium, Iron, Copper and Lead contents were monitored on 30th day of incubation. The presence of metabolites released during degradation period was also analyzed by HPLC.
