Abstract
The North Eastern Region (NER) comprising of eight states of India have diverse religious communities different from that of the Indian mainland. The growth rates of some religious community varied extensively from decade to decade due to religious migration. Change of religions experienced in large scale in some states of NER. In this paper, religious migratory phenomena are studied using prior religious migrants (opportunity looking), estimated religious settled migrants based on sex ratio and growth rate of some standard population and net religious opportunities analysis are taken up.
