Abstract
COVID-19 affects most of the industries and related activities in drastic manner and forces people shift their working dimension. Therefore there is need of technological tool to assess the working and related pattern in current and new normal conditions. Hence Human Resource Information System (HRIS) is the tool that may act as bridge for managing HR function during pandemic. However, there is a lack of studies which may explore the role of this tool in the prevailing conditions and therefore the need of conducting focused studies in the recent era is prevalent. Thus, this study has been done to check the perception of the form of workers who render utmost and continuous services during pandemic through serving community from home. The study evaluates perceived benefits of HRIS according to the faculty members of higher education institutions of Karachi and highlights HRIS is perceived as important integration of technology and HR functions.
