Abstract
This study will help to understand environmental, economic and technological effects of renewable energy policies from 2015-2030 by simulating conventional and non-conventional forms of energy. To determine the effect on generation system five scenarios (Coal Only, Hydro Only, Wind Only, Optimization, and CO2 Limit) has been developed and analyzed using Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning (LEAP). It is concluded that by using effective implementation of energy efficiency and other strategies, renewable energy technologies will produce more power than nonrenewable technologies of the generation requirement in Pakistan by 2030. It produces significant environmental and economic benefits as well as enhance the sustainability of Pakistan energy sector.
