Abstract
The conventional IC engine powered vehicles are huge source of air pollution due to the carbon emission from these vehicles. Now a days due to the new technology to create electric vehicles, these IC engine powered vehicles are replaced with intelligent as well as efficient electric vehicles. But the developed charging dock is not an economic one because huge amperes are pushed to the electric vehicles at the time of charging and due to the fact that the power to these charging docks are from the city power outlets where it is located. Hence our project is to design an efficient solar as well as RF card based low-cost charging dock. Here we are using solar cells as source to the charger dock. MPPT (multiple point potential transformer) is provided to step up and down the voltage from the solar cell. A huge battery pack with 12v is provided as the solar cell charges the battery through the MPPT. From battery an inverter is used to convert the 12v dc to 220v ac supply and a 48v DC charger is connected to the220v ac output from the inverter. The RF card is programmed as a key to this charging doc. This setup will not use the 220v city outlet but only relay on pure solar energy.
