Abstract
A process-targeted approach to managing an institution of higher professional education as a subject of the educational services market has been developed. A feature of the formed approach is the focus of management's orientation on the consumer, goals and processes. The scientific novelty of the process-targeted approach is represented by the subsidiary process of ensuring the development of an institution of higher education, which contains the following functions: ensuring guarantees of the quality of educational services and customer satisfaction; formation of positive experience and customer loyalty; introduction of innovations; strengthening the image of the educational institution and increasing its competitiveness; support of scientific and technological progress.
