Abstract
This paper deals with cold chains essences. It identifies main preconceptions of the cold chain market development in Ukraine and worldwide. The main characteristics of the coldsupply chains are determined. The current state and development perspectives of the cold chain logistics on the food market in Ukraine have been analyzed.
