Abstract
The scope of linguistic lexical semantics is described from a
theoretical and descriptive point of view: an overview of the main theoretical approaches that have succeeded each other in the history of lexical semantics (structuralist historical semantics, structuralist semantics, cognitive semantics) provides a framework for illustrating the various descriptive topics and models that were introduced by the successive theories.
