Abstract
The concrete have been used in all places for construction. The urge to find the alternative materials to existing convention ones and the need to improve the strength of concrete have compelled researchers to intensify work on substitutes to aggregate used with a view to investigate their usefulness wholly as a construction material or partly as a substitute for aggregate in concrete. This paper reviews the possible use of waste foundry sand as a partial replacement for fine aggregate. The foundry sand is disposed as a solid waste from the foundry. So a study is made in concrete with a partial replacement of 10%, 20% and 30%foundry sand with M sand. The brick of 190mm x 90mm x 90mm size is used and rectangle mold 190mm and height of 90mm is used. The normal concrete partially mixed with foundry sand is tested at an interval of 7days, 14days and 28days. The testing is done using compression testing machine (CTM). The testing results of conventional concrete and concrete with partially mixed with foundry sand is compared
