Abstract
Echocardiographic imaging is a medical imaging modality that uses ultrasound in order to obtain cross sectional views of the heart. In echocardiographic images, ultrasound images play a crucial role, because they are helpful to be produced at video-rate and therefore allow a dynamic analysis of moving structures. In this paper the ultrasound image segmentation methods are discussed by using echocardiographic images, in a broad sense, specialy focusing on techniques developed for medical enhancement.
