Abstract

The relevance of the research topic is due to the fact that at the present stage the role of the leader is constantly growing. This is due to a number of objective conditions: the complication of management decisions; increased decisionmaking responsibility due to increased economic, social and environmental impacts; expansion of independence of all management links. The purpose of the article is to determine the personal qualities of a management leader, leading to an increase in the effectiveness of the organization's managers. The paper discusses the concept of a management leader. The differences between the competencies of the leader and the manager. A model of a management leader has been compiled, including the definition of the power of legal authority and the power of personal authority. The main qualities of a management leader that affect the final result of his professional activity have been revealed. It has been determined that the managerial leader must possess special qualities for the successful formation of teams in his organization and beyond (for example, a team of partners). The parameters for assessing the effectiveness of the management leader have been highlighted. The effectiveness of management leadership is directly related to the effectiveness of group activities. It is impossible to imagine an effective leader of an organization who is unable to achieve the goals set and fails to implement the strategy of his group. The effectiveness of group work is determined by the nature of the interaction of subjects and objects of managerial leadership. Within the framework of joint activities, certain rules and procedures are established for the mutual exchange of information, opinions and even emotional experiences. It has been noted that the perception of group effectiveness provides for such an individual assessment, at which the positive moments of group activity far exceed the negative moments. The perception of individual effectiveness in a group activity is the comparison of their individual results with the results of other people who have similar characteristics (status, material remuneration, level of competence, etc.). If the results of the comparison testify in favor of the individual, he perceives his activity as effective. Comparison and evaluation can be carried out taking into account the hypothetical achievements in the hypothetical situation of individual activities outside the group.
