Bakonii, E. Levadska and A.Turak. The Uzhhorod Children's School of Arts started its activity in 1954, and it became an independent educational institution in 1958. In basis of the educational process at Uzhhorod Children's School of Arts, the study of nature and academic preparation in drawing, painting, composition and sculpture are of paramount importance. Initial tasks are built in accordance with the principle of succession - from simple exercises to a complex set of tasks and the development of creative abilities. Programs in drawing, painting and composition complement each other. An important educational and acquainting function in the art world is performed by art history classes. Teacher Elina Roman practices excursions with students in Uzhhorod museums and galleries, frequent visits to the College of Arts named after A. Erdeli and Transcarpathian Academy of Arts, meetings with leading artists of Transcarpathia. An important role in the educational activities of the school is given to exhibitions and competitions of creative work of students and teachers.
