Abstract
The article analyzes the peculiarities of the present value orientations of the student age youth. The content of psychological approaches in the study of value orientations is revealed. The functions of value orientations in the structure of personality orientation are distinguished. The influence of social values on the formation of young people's personal values is shown. The purpose of the article is the analyze value orientations as the central components of the psychological structure of the personality. It is stated that value orientations as components of the internal structure of personality orientation are formed and fixed by the life experience of the individual in the processes of social adaptation and socialization. The role of value orientations in the formation of youth is emphasized. As one of the elements of personality structure, they play a crucial role not only in the regulation of behavior, but also in the formation of beliefs, outlook, life path, especially at the stage of becoming a professional work activity at a young age. Psychological and pedagogical conditions of formation of value orientations of modern student youth in the conditions of higher education institution are considered, attention is paid to the role of teachers in formation of personal and professional values of students. Prerequisites for forming students' value orientations are the organization and stimulation of students' reflective activities to focus on certain values; the use of interactive technologies in the process of work on the formation of value orientations, the organization of various extra-curricular activities of students. The results of the study can be used in organizing the educational process of the university.
