The formation of general and professional competences of students of pedagogical specialties involves the future teacher's diversified developmental process, the formation of a humanistic pedagogical position on the basis of the unity of professional, socio-economic and valeological training. Analysis of recent research and publications. Over the past decades, special attention has been paid to the health problems of young people in Ukraine, to the formation of a legal and educational base for a healthy lifestyle (V. Butenko, L. Vysochan, M. Honcharenko, M. Hrynova, V. Yefimova, V. Orzhekhovska, O. Lohvynenko, V. Petlenko, I. Solonenko, S. Strashko, Yu. Yarchuk). According to many scientists Ukrainian educational system does not sufficiently motivate young people to observe the healthy lifestyle bases (M. Hrynova, H. Zaitsev, O. Kabatska, V. Chernii, R. Karpiuk, O. Petryk, L. Sokolenko, Yu. Yarchuk), and the situation, that concerns the state of health is determined by a low level of knowledge about health and healthy lifestyle, disrespectful and irresponsible attitude of young people toward their health and the health of others (Skorokhod, V. Orzhekhovska, O. Lohvynenko). The aim of the article is to summarize the problems in the future teachers' training for the junior pupils' healthy lifestyle formation. At the present stage of society's development health and healthy lifestyle require a special integrated approach to the future teachers' training for the formation of these concepts in junior pupils, due to the identified problems, namely: the necessity for professional skills mastery in the course of training process, the formation of individualised style of students' pedagogical activity, the formation of students' responsible position on the quality of their educational activities results, the mastering of different modern pedagogical technologies and self-study skills. The results of the conducted questioning and survey showed that only half of the future primary school teachers have theoretical knowledge of the basic principles of health and healthy lifestyle and observe (follow) them in the process of their life.
