The promotion of the transport sector nowadays is one of the most important criteria or indicators of the urban development level and the civilization development, so that the states progress is measured with the development of its transport means and systems, especially if this last has adopted a technological application and intelligent systems up to date. We will try, through this study, to talk about the latest technologies, that are expected when its application is completed, to occur a pass or a new revolution in the methods of the known transportation techniques namely Intelligent Transportation Systems, which some of its applications has been started to spread. The Intelligent Transportation Systems which will be the focus of our study is the use of computer methods, electronics, communications and the control to avoid many challenges that facing the road transport, such as improving safety levels, productivity, and the general movement.
