Abstract
The purpose of the article is to reveal the essence of the communicative competence of a modern teacher and to analyze the means of its formation in students at the stage of professional pedagogical training in a higher educational institution. Based on the analysis of scientific sources, the essence of the communicative competence of a modern teacher is disclosed in accordance with the requirements of the reform of the general and high school of Ukraine. A set of tasks of the training character aimed at the development of communicative competence of students - future teachers - in the process of studying pedagogy in the conditions of a classical university is singled out. Through testing in the learning process, the effectiveness of training tasks is defined using the methods of discussion, role play, modeling, expert analysis, scoring/reflection, supervision over the development of students as future specialists in the educational sphere of pedagogical thinking, the ability to isolate, analyze, and constructively solve professional problems. The scientific novelty of the study is to identify a set of methods and corresponding training tasks for the development of communicative competence of students - future teachers - in practical classes in pedagogy. Practical meaning. On the basis of approbation of training tasks in the course of conducting practical lessons on the course "Pedagogy", their effectiveness in forming students of such qualities of communicative competence as ability to use theoretical knowledge in pragmatic communicative purposes, ability to self-criticism, and adequate reaction to constructive criticism, flexibility in perception is confirmed. Different styles of interaction, creativity and adaptability in the choice of communication tools, the desire for personal and professional self-presentation and self-expression by means of communication are determined.
