Economic culture in the structure of general culture of personality

Abstract

The article studies the content of such concepts as “culture”, “economic culture” and attempts to determine the place and role of economic culture in the structure of a general culture of personality. It also analyzes modern approaches to defining the term “economic culture”. The study on the problem of shaping economic culture in the teacher has led to the need to analyze different types of culture, determine the place of economic culture among them and consider such concepts as “culture of personality”, “general culture of personality” and “economic culture of personality”. The article analyzes economic culture as a component of a general culture of personality in two areas: firstly, it discloses the content of the main functions of culture in the context of economic culture; secondly, it reveals the connection between economic culture and other components of the system of a general culture. In general, the conducted analysis of scientific sources shows that there are different theoretical concepts of the essence of culture, which reveal the prospects for its development and impact on human spirituality. Culture is a necessary characteristic of all kinds and forms of physical and spiritual activity. The study of economic culture implies a stage of a holistic understanding of culture. The active approach to the analysis of the problem of the formation of the personality culture made it possible to identify the connection of each of its structural components with the experience of the respective activity and to make provisions about the defining, leading role of the economic culture in the formation of the holistic personality culture. First of all, it is substantiated by the influence of transformative activity on the development of the potential capabilities of the individual, on the formation of individuality. After all, in the process of activity, the person receives not only the object of his activity, but also those additional results that form the basis of personality development: new knowledge, new experience, new relationships, new needs, and therefore new goals, motives, orientations, ie the preconditions of one's own self improvement.
