Peculiarities of the process of memorizing while learning grammatical material of the English language

Abstract

The prerequisite for the adequate use of English in oral and written speech is the development of basic grammatical skills, the development of practical skills for successfully use a wide range of lexical and grammatical means of speech. Promoting professional skills in the use of English grammar structures in communication depends largely on the psychological characteristics of memorization, which contributes to the enrichment of students' overall linguistic experience to further improve their lexical and grammatical skills. The purpose of the article is to analyze the features of the memorization process when learning grammar. The features of the memorization process in learning English grammar have been analyzed in the article. Types of human memory are distinguished, namely visual; verbal-shaped; intermediate. The idea of providing computer assistance for the effectiveness of memory processes in learning English, namely grammar, has been disclosed. The memorizing qualities involved in learning grammar have been highlighted. The psychological features of the process of memorizing grammatical material have been generalized. It has been emphasized that the processes of memory, namely their unity, are traced in the mutual conditionality and penetration of one process into another. The features of the memorization process in the formation of grammatical and communicative competence, which is provided by linguistic, speech and socio-cultural experience, have been identified. Prospects for further studies include the development of training exercises to improve the memorization of grammar when learning English.
