Problem of professional formation of future teachers

Abstract

This study is an attempt to analyze the issue of professional development of future teachers and to investigate one of the important aspects of pedagogical formation – motivation, its role and place within the structure of personality as well as in the process of professional development of future teachers. Apart from that, the results of the conducted diagnostic survey have been analyzed; the findings demonstrate the main problems of professional formation of the teacher's personality as well as the major factors influencing the process of professional formation of future teachers, thus, motivational components that drive a person in the process of professional development have been discovered and the motivational structure of the teacher's personality has been analyzed. To implement our study, we used the following techniques that have identified the main reasons that drive the individual student in the professional development. Thus, according to the survey of students found in high enough motivation for learning and professional motivation to the profession. This may indicate an internal desire of students to take up this profession. Some respondents found not very harmonious motivational structure that could adversely affect future professional activities. Also, further analysis showed that the different categories surveyed groups, appear low rates for pedagogical orientation. Comparative analysis of interpersonal relationships and personal characteristics of the students found that in some of them there are some negative trends in the manifestation of personality characteristics and development of interpersonal relationships in learning and professional development.
