Abstract
The article is devoted to the characteristics of the features of a dramatic work as a historical source. The dramatic embodiment of the work forms additional factors influencing the perception and interpretation of the work, which leads to the formation of new groups of historical sources. A certain difficulty is the search and structuring of sources that reflect the amateur experience of the play / performance. The peculiarity of the per- ception of drama lies in the fact that often the reader and the viewer are presented in one person, but the percep- tion of the play and the performance staged on it differ significantly from each other.
