Abstract
This article reveals the history of the joint struggle of the Turkic peoples - Karakalpaks, Uzbeks, Kirghiz and Turkmens against the invasive colonial policy of Tsarist Russia in the 19th century. Historical documents on the course of the struggle for the preservation of national freedom and opposition to the annexation to the territory of Kazakhstan and Central Asia have been investigated. In particular, the author considers the resistance of the local populationto the seizure of lands by the Russian Empire, and the political solidarity of the Turkic peoples in this struggle, based on the source materials of the heroic works of the leading folk epic poets of that time. The position of the Khiva and Kokand khanates in relation to the colonial policy of tsarist Russia and their influence on the political relations of the Turkic peoples in the history of their national liberation struggle are investigated.
