Abstract

The scientific article is devoted to the analysis of modern data on the possibilities of studying blood traces in the production of forensic medical examination of material evidence of biological origin. The author paid attention to some issues of discovering and improving the techniques that are today used in the practice of a forensic medical expert both at the scene of the incident and in the biomedical laboratory. The article focuses on the forensic value of the nature of the traces that blood leaves, depending on the place of damage to the vessels and the actions of the victim and the offender. It is noted that in some cases, a forensic medical examination of traces suspicious of blood is carried out with the involvement of other medical specialists (hematologists, dermatovenerologists, immunologists, geneticists, infectious disease specialists, etc.) and a forensic medical expert, that is, a commission examination is carried out ... Therefore, theoretical knowledge about the peculiarities of detecting and examining blood traces at the present stage is very relevant in the practice of a forensic expert.
