Abstract
For an enterprise to remain competitive, it needs all the links to work at the appropriate level. However, labor resources cannot work at the established efficiency, as the mechanized part of production does. Motivation is one of the main factors that enables the workforce to work more efficiently. The main question is what managers need to do for real increase productivity. The article investigates the influence of material and non-material motivations on the performance of personnel. Material incentives have the greatest impact on the employee, but not for the longest duration. Individually, each of them is ineffective, since they must complement each other and enhance the effect. In addition to bonuses or salary supplements, they use coupons for transportation, medical insurance, subscriptions and vacations at the expense of the enterprise, etc. Managers who want to improve their productivity must focus on ensuring that all employees are highly valued and rewarded for their efforts. In cases where there is no additional remuneration for quality work performed (or it is not evaluated), then interest in the activity is lost. Analyzed the negative impact of a poorly chosen specialty, in the process of entering a higher educational institution, the possibility of motivating such a person. The result of a poor-quality choice and subsequent work in a profession that does not bring pleasure is an indifference to the result of work and, accordingly, a decrease in efficiency. The negative effect of the use of negative incentives, namely the system of fines, leads to high staff turnover and a negative attitude of employees to the management system. The most common reasons for «disciplinary» fines in Ukraine are being late, absenteeism, and being drunk at the workplace. Although, under the law, an employee may be reprimanded or dismissed for these violations.
