Abstract

This paper presents an innovative worldwide method of total desulphurizationofgascombustion-derivedshipsonheavyfueldieselengines. Forthetreatmentof waste aqueous solution derived from cationization with aqueous solutionNaOH the exhaust gas and capture the S from SOx.For the treatment wastewa-ter plant is necessary to have big surface and consumption biggest quantity ofsalt water. But unfortunately, the space free on the ships are very restricted andfurther consequently born stability problems for the ships. This proposal inno-vative methodology with new approx and new design overcame the limitationsand the low performance of the actual scrubber systems and the negative pro-vokedenormousenvironmentalimpactoftheseemissionsandnotcompliestheIMO international regulations. The method exposed in this paper overcame therequirement its international regulations of IMO“IMO (international maritimeorganization rules)”(n.d.) (international maritime organization) and is PatentN. PittasPittas(n.d.).
