Problems of the formation of revenues and expenditures of municipal budgets

The article is devoted to the topical issue of modern municipal finance, concerning the effectiveness of the formation of local budgets. The municipal budget is the basis for the financial support of the activities of local governments. It is intended not only to ensure the solution of fixed issues of local importance and the implementation of certain state powers, but also to maximize the development of municipalities in the socio-economic plan and the growth of the well-being of the population. The article highlights the main measures to increase the collection of taxes, which make up a large part of the tax revenues of a municipality, and suggests possible measures to increase the financial independence of municipalities.
