Abstract
Among the main important trends in education of the XXI century special attention is paid to the development of so-called «soft skills», which can solve some modern pedagogical issues. «Soft skills» consist of universal, functional competencies that allow people to adapt to the environment and succeed regardless of professional activity specifics and the direction in which a person works. The issue is reflected in the main education documents in Ukraine. In particular, the State Standard of Primary Education (2018) identifies: information and communication, civic and social competencies as the main determinants of the developing critical thinking skills, managing their emotions, assessing risks, making decisions, solving problems, cooperating with other people. All the above components relate to the so-called «soft skills» development. The need to substantiate the theoretical and practical aspects of the developing «soft skills» in the context of modern educational requirements encourages researchers to a deep and comprehensive study of this issue.
