Abstract
This study investigates the latest trends and prospects for the introduction of innovative technologies in the hotel industry. The need of the development and implementation of innovative technologies in hotels was confirmed. The article discusses the theoretical aspects of innovation in the hotel industry. A complete classification of innovations is given, which includes five groups, and according to which the state of innovative technologies in Odessa is analyzed using the example of seven selected enterprises of the hotel industry. After analyzing the modern market, it was determined that the role of innovation in the hotel business plays one of the primary roles. First of all, this is due to the fact that the emergence of a new and/or improved service directly affects the competitiveness of the enterprise, and at present the hotel industry is a field of activity with an ever-growing level of competition in the hotel services market, therefore the introduction of an innovative product into the operation of hotels is the necessary condition. In addition, the article describes innovations that are very relevant during the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, and recommendations for the implementation of similar technologies in other hospitality enterprises. Also, the issue of environmental protection is sharply raised: on the basis of one hotel enterprise, the concept of ecological hotels has been analyzed, the feasibility of its application. Moreover, the possibilities of installing charging stations for electronic vehicles were considered, which is popular in the modern world, because today a large number of people already use electric machines and other types of electric transport. Particular attention is paid to the automation of booking and service processes in hospitality establishments, the introduction of the latest security systems in the work of enterprises, as well as the creation of modern innovative services and the improvement of existing ones, in order to retain potential customers and attract new ones.
